Teeth Whitening
Teeth “Whitening” is another terminology of bleaching of the teeth which is the process of lightning the color of an individual’s teeth. When whitening a client’s teeth what we are actually doing is restoring the clients tooth surface color from dirt and debris that have latched to the client’s teeth changing the intrinsic or extrinsic color of the tooth enamel. During the teeth whitening process we would most likely be using a bleaching component to get the clients teeth to activate and whiten. Typically, hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide would be used for the procedure. These bleaches break down stain into smaller pieces, which will make the color of your teeth less concentrated and brighter.
